Antenatal Pilates

Join us in our calm, warm and relaxed studio environment for expert led Ante Natal Pilates.

Our specialist Pilates classes can be taken throughout pregnancy but under the guidance of experienced Chartered Physiotherapist, Arlene Bowmaker, will be adapted as the weeks progress.

Ante Natal Pilates can help relieve many common discomforts experienced and can help with;

  • Strengthening the pelvic floor
  • Reducing back pain
  • Strengthening tummy muscles
  • Taking the strain off back and pelvis
  • Relaxing and controlling breathing
  • Controlling balance

Our sessions will help you to adapt to your new body shape and are a great way to work with your body and learn some beneficial breathing and relaxation techniques.

If you are new to Pilates or have attended for some time, it is safe and gentle exercise to pursue throughout your pregnancy.

You are welcome to join our classes from Week 12 onwards but we do advise you contact us before joining the class and also speak to your midwife or GP if you have any concerns about starting this kind of exercise.
