Dr. Holly Trengrouse is an experienced Counselling Psychologist (CPsychol) and a registered Practitioner Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Within her practice, Holly is competent in working with individual adults, adolescents, children from aged 5, couples and families, whom display a variety of presentations and levels of severity.

Holly has a wealth of experience gained from settings such as NHS, community and charitable organisations and educational settings. From these, she is well versed in working with a wide range of issues and problems including: depression/low mood; anxiety; stress; chronic illness; chronic pain; cancer; bereavement/grief; sexual health; LGBTQIA+; gender or identity; relationships; trauma; childhood sexual abuse; addictions; life transitions; low self-esteem; and many other psychological difficulties and issues.

Holly works in a collaborative way with each client and endeavours to tailor the approach to suit the needs of each individual in support of their goals. She offers a variety of short-term and longer-term evidenced-based approaches including: Person-Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT). As a Counselling Psychologist, Holly’s knowledge and skills facilitates thorough and empowering assessments, formulations and treatment plans, whilst striving to help the client realise their full capabilities and potential.
