She also completed a postgraduate certificate in Manual Therapy and is always looking for new opportunities to expand experience and knowledge.
Maria cares for the patient and engages into their rehabilitation process to address the source of dysfunction and prevent recurrence. Her aim is to provide an individualised program supplying the means for a successful outcome.
María has a particular interest in performing arts related injuries and postural problems. She is currently freelancing in the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland providing physiotherapy services for performing artists. She also teaches workshops in technique and healthy practice and Pilates.
In her free time she enjoyes hillwalking, bouldering, swimming and running as well as attending to Pilates classes and yoga. She also loves her trips to Spain to see her family and enjoy some tapas in the sun!
