Simon has twenty years of experience as a practising Clinical Psychologist. He studied at Aberdeen and Edinburgh Universities completing his doctoral thesis on the subject of occupational stress.
As a Clinical Psychologist, Simon worked within the NHS in Scotland for 12 years. His specialism was adult mental health, where he was able to offer evidence based psychology interventions for individuals, couples and families across the full spectrum of clinical issues.
Working part time with sportscotland institute of sport since 2013, Simon is able to apply his expertise into elite sport, helping high-level athletes maximise and improve performance across an array of very different sporting disciplines. He has wide ranging experience, including target sports including golf, tennis, gymnastics, tennis, disability sport and team sports such as rugby.
When not working Simon spends time with his family and four children and is also a keen sportsman on the rugby pitch or tennis court.
