Running Clinic

Running may seem like the most natural thing in the world and not something we give much thought to. A lot us of us might not even be aware of how we run. But did you know that running is actually a skill, which can be refined, developed and improved?

The way that we run can affect our performance; if we don’t move as efficiently as possible then we may use up energy unnecessarily. Our running technique can also be a factor in picking up an injury because poor movement can place excessive strain on our joints and soft tissues. Running is also a form of activity that is quite forceful. Our body’s strength and flexibility can influence how we deal with these forces and affect how well we move. Having an understanding of these factors will mean you get more out of your running. Our physio team have vast experience in managing runners of all levels and abilities, from those just starting out on a couch to 5k, to elite international athletes, and as a result we are suitably placed to assess all your running needs. Our aim is to make you a better, faster and more robust runner. To facilitate this, here at Life Fit Wellness we have developed a clinic tailor made to examine all aspects related to your running.

OPTION 1: Running Gait Analysis with Movement & Capacity Screening (£250)

This is a 2 session assessment involving an initial 90 minute consultation followed by a planned 30 minute follow up.

This assessment includes:

  • Comprehensive running and injury history
  • Analysis of current  training plan
  • Treadmill running assessment
  • Real time feedback and gait retraining
  • Flexibility, strength and movement control assessment
  • Individualised strength/ flexibility programme (based on assessment)
  • Individualised comprehensive report with training & exercise recommendations
  • 10% discount on a block of 5 personal training sessions (to be used within 3 months)
  • Receive 5 £10 off vouchers for sports massage (to be used within 3 months 45 or 60min sessions only)
  •  Optional referral to running coach
OPTION 2: Running Gait Analysis (£200)

This is a 2 session assessment involving an initial 1 hour consultation followed by a planned 30 minute follow up.

This assessment includes:

  • Comprehensive running and injury history
  • Analysis of current  training plan
  • Treadmill running assessment
  • Real time feedback and gait retraining
  • Individualised comprehensive report with training & exercise recommendations
  • 10% discount on a block of 5 personal training sessions (to be used within 3 months)
  • Receive 5 £10 off vouchers for sports massage (to be used within 3 months 45 or 60min sessions only)
  •  Optional referral to running coach
 
OPTION 3: Running Movement & Capacity Screening (£75)

This is a single 1 hour assessment that includes:

  • Comprehensive running and injury history
  • Analysis of current  training plan
  • Flexibility, strength and movement control assessment
  • Individualised strength/ flexibility programme (based on assessment)
  • Individualised comprehensive report with training & exercise recommendations
Clinic run by
