Toni Woods
Badminton
- Born in Falkirk in 1998.
- A full-time badminton player and part-time student.
- Member of the Scottish Senior Development Squad.
Toni started playing badminton at 10 years old where she firstly attended the Glasgow School of Sport at Bellahouston Academy. She then moved to Denmark at the age of 18, training and living full-time at the Badminton Europe Centre of Excellence. Toni has recently moved back home to Scotland to continue her training, where she is now a member of the Scottish Senior Development Squad.
Toni is currently playing in 2 leagues, both the Spanish and Danish leagues, and is mainly focusing on singles. She competes in both national and international competitions, with her best international result reaching the semi-final at the Hellas International FS in Greece. Currently her best national result was making the final of the Scottish Senior National Championships.
Toni says her goals for this season are; to become top 200 in the world rankings, reach the final of the Scottish Nationals, and to become a full-time member of the Scottish Senior Squad.
